Some agents only handle one side. I think that limits your knowledge. By working with both sellers and buyers you can understand what the other side is going through. If all you do is one side of transactions, you lose that understanding.
I choose to work with a team of professionals.
Be it service providers, lenders, or contractors I have vetted them and know that they will be there to do the job right the first time. Real Estate can be stressful, we don’t need to add to it.
The Key is Listening
Although most of our homes are sold through the Central Virginia MLS, that might not be the best way. For distressed properties, I have used online auctions to bring in a larger volume of cash buyers. On the other hand, sometimes good old word of mouth and networking is the best way to sell a home without a lot of fuss. The bottom line is to actively listen and then make recommendations.
